Christine...
Back from our two week sojourn through Italy....Venice, Rome and Lucca..and I had to write to tell you what a wonderful time we had and how pleased we were with our selection of Al Biancalana. Our host Fabrizio and his son were most gracious and helpful upon our arrival. We did not require their services during our stay as the home was well equipped and prepared for our stay. The proximity of the home to the AutoStrata was a plus, as we toured daily throughout the Tuscany region. It was a dream come true awakening in the morning to the sounds of the bells from the village church, opening the blinds to view the sun glistening on the trees of the nearby mountains and having breakfast on the porch surrounded by olive trees and the gorgeous pool....though it was a little too chilly to use it. Perfecto! Our traveling companion Linda loves to cook so it was so convenient to visit the local stores and vendors and sit down in the evening to a wonderfully prepared meal in the comfort and ambiance of this beautifully appointed home while enjoying our own version of "casa vino".
I must also share with you that we took the occasion to visit your recommended friends, Will (Guglielmo) and Ella (Manuela). What a wonderful evening we had in their company. I must admit it was interesting getting there but well worth the find. You know how difficult it can be getting to Rauto...well the night we were there it had been raining heavily all afternoon and into the evening and it made our trip up the mountain and down even more interesting. In spite of that it was truly worth it. I'm so glad your mother encouraged their venture. I'm enclosing two pictures...one of Will and Ella and one of the four of us the evening at their summer home...I'm also enclosing our thanks and well wishes.....we were so pleased by our accommodations and our business dealings with you and your firm. Continued success!
