Another crown jewel in the row of beautiful courses in the Tuscan hills. Inaugurated in the mid 90ies Poggio dei Medici is today one of the most liked courses, continuing to host a number of top-level national and international tournaments. A course more than once listed high in national as well as international comparisons.

A rather wide course, embedded into the fantastic Mugello landscape, beautiful views to the area surrounding, from our personal point of view particularly so from holes 1,6,9, 10 and 11 as well as 18.

Very well kept overall. A course anything but easy to play, a challenge also for more experienced golfers. The course Poggio dei Medici being nicely integrated into the hills means there are almost no parallel fairways and each and every hole has its own unique charm. In part very old trees along the holes, almost half of which in some connection with one of the many water hazards. Linked with a very elegant for star golf resort/Spa which then will offer services that go far beyond those of a good golf club. Very nice restaurant, pool.

Driving range, pro-shop with good product line. Given the length of the course and the remarkable slope we recommend to hire a cart or trolley.

Truly worth the trip; already travelling through the Mugello is an experience. And the course Poggio dei Medici will certainly not disappoint you.

Motorway A1, exit Barberino di Mugello (North of Florence), than direction San Piero a Siepe, direction Scarperia, in the end direction Gabbiano. Short of Gabbiano follow signs for Poggio dei Medici golf club.
