Sorano offers you a fascinating view with its location high on top of the lime stone rocks. High up over the roofs is Leopold Rock (Sasso Leopoldino) with its clean edges and the panoramic platform looks like a sand cake, crowned with the watch/bell tower.

Charming little streets with local and – fitting in stile – foreign products are offered in small boutiques. But it is also pleasant to just browse up and down the streets.

From Sasso Leopoldino, that enormous lime stone massif, for donkey’s years looking over the village with its enormous size and altitude you will have a splendid view over the roofs on to “Rocca Orsini”, a huge fortress.
From the other side you will look at another lime stone massif where you can easily spot the caves drilled into the mountain.

The Orsini Park, another bizarre “monster park”, can only be visited on appointment with the tourist office.

Parking on and around the small central place just outside the town walls, restaurants and bars close by, as is the tourist office.
