Arezzo Apartments

Cooking will take place with you being spectators, absolutely freely you may follow the dinner preparations without fearing to create any kind of stress. A large variety of food is offered: On Saturday there will always be a little snack, a kind of welcome for those who have just arrived.
Twice a week a masseuse will be present offering different kinds of wellness programmes. Vine tasting from the own cellar. Cooking lessons can be arranged with the competent cook; tasteful typical dishes of the region from a long list; à propos: the vegetable and eggs come from a nearby farm and will be made use of absolutely fresh.
As an alternative you may enjoy being spoiled by a very cosy dinner with live music served in your own apartment.

All that you will have at walking distance from the old Arezzo city centre just 1000 m off the city walls. And in a special ambiente with artist touch the owners have created (and transformed into practical terms) coming from a film and theatre background.

The holiday apartments have been built in the former working quarters of the farm, built around the year 1800. There is still an ongoing vine production and, in a separate building, seminars are held.

The adjacent old villa with its wide park and water- areas shares a part of the baroque garden with you, separated by a hedge leaving accesses.

This is the largest apartment, with a view on the secret garden. It is composed of: 1 bedroom with a king-size canopy bed, 1 room with 2 single beds, 1 dinette kitchen, 1 large living room with fireplace and dining table, 1 room with a writing desk, bookcase and an armchair, 1 bathroom with shower. The beautiful main bedroom, with its soft colours and meringue-hued lighting, the large living room, with its linen fabrics evoking the Mediterranean, furnished with unique antiques such as the late Empire-style Tuscan console and the writing-desk bookcase, make this apartment cheerful and cosy. The fireplace allows guests together around the fire during the winter. During the summer, the large windows open onto the cool fresh greenery of the trees, which provide shade to the entire house. The swimming pool may be reached with a short stroll through the vineyards, which in September are laden with red grapes that will be made into wine. This is an ideal setting for a family. The private balcony is equipped with a picnic table and chairs for relaxing.
Upon request, Gioconda may be joined with Ilaria, resulting in a single apartment accommodating 6 guests.

Casa Ilaria is part of Casa Gioconda, but it may be rendered completely independent. The apartment is composed of:
1 bathroom with bathtub, 1 bedroom with king-size bed, 1 living room with dining table and kitchenette.

The beautiful mansard bedroom, the bathroom with its nice mirrors is separated from the living room area by a wide arch with meadow-green silk curtains; the furnishings are prestigious and elegant, comprised entirely of antiques. The kitchenette is hidden behind a closet with antique panels.

The apartment, completed by a ample balcony and a private garden equipped with a table and two armchairs, is ideal for a couple seeking privacy and elegance.

Sunlight almost defines this apartment, enlivening it throughout every moment of the day, changing its feeling from moment to moment. Arezzo is still today one of the charming old Tuscan cities, with elegant shops at its medieval city centre. Well prepared for tourism, nevertheless it is the Arretini who shape the atmosphere of the city; they proudly sit in front of the bars or under the famous Vasari arcades having their café or aperitivo.
Arezzo is the city of goldsmiths and antique deals; every first weekend of the month the probably biggest antique market in Tuscany takes place on the Piazza Grande and the famous arcasdes. Dealers and clients come from everywhere. So why make a long trip if you could rent your holiday villa so close to the event.
Maybe you should also consider to visit the pitoresque old village of Anghiari not far from Arezzo.
