Casa Forteto
The Villa is situated at San Donato in Collina, 14 km from Florence, at the center of a well connected network of art sites, and is surrounded by olive plantations, vineyards and forests: an ideal place for a restful and cultural holiday.
The villa is entirely equipped with ecological, sustainable energy sources, as solar cells for electricity and geothermic system for heating and air conditioning.

On the estate and below Forteto there ist another Villa "Casa Leopoldina", clearly separated and completely independent.
The Garden arrangements were directed by the internationally known garden professionist Bruno Goris, who is in charge, among others, of some of the most prestigious gardens of the Cote d'Azur.
The area on the estate around the villas is arranged as a country garden, including very old olive trees; a gazebo, placed between the two villas, is suitable for rest, reading...
The separate Fitness House - or better - the wellness area - with hydromassage, sauna, equipment for gym and bar is private for the estate; exclusive use in the morning or afternoon.
The Villa has been restored with the utmost care and is showing the typical Tuscan country house style not avoiding any cost for getting it back in its grandeur.
The courtyard is next to the dining room and offers a pizza-oven and barbecue, all of which in the middle of the Mediterranean scent of olives, lavender and rosemary.

The building takes its origin from the early 12th century, when a fortified military post guarded the frontier between the Republic of Florence and the domain of Count Guidi of Arezzo, liege of the Empire.
The tower still standing and the portico of the courtyard still visible in the walls, were later incorporated on the construction of a farm, and more parts were added according to the activities of the time.
Completely built in stone, it still shows the thick medieval walls. The garden is designed to match with the olive plantation which declines on one side towards the valley and the forest which climbs over the hill on the other side. Corners of intimacy as a little suspended garden or the barbecue loggia, are to be found all around the house and the swimming pool.
