The villa is situated privately in the Assia manor with beautiful views on the plane countryside and the surrounding forests. The furniture is elegant and comfortable; lots of space everywhere. A huge countryhouse kitchen in modern white design with connected dining area of the same style, direct access to the large covered terrace. Some of the bedrooms are very spacious with large bath-rooms.
You will certainly find useful the additional two kitchenettes. Of course you may enjoy the many amenities and all of the entire services the manor offers. In addition there is one more private pool for your convenience.
The villa has been built around 1900 and has undergone restauration in 1990 based on the style of this period - some truly nice antiques add particular effects.
There is also the possibility you may take your own horse for these holidays (request with booking), it will however need the vaccinations requested by Italian law and a health certificate. Any Italian consulate will respond to your questions for the entry. On request we will give cost estimation.

Assia manor in the hills above the Arno valley, on he borderline between the privinces of Lucca, Florence, Pistoia and Pisa. Many options for an active holiday along the historic Via Francigena.
Traditional products of the manor have been since generations wine and olive oil, in the 60ies they started with horse breeding.
Meanwhile it has become a riding centre well known all over Italy with its own Riding Club. The stables are situated in the middle of the property, i.e. the agriturismo. Paddocks, jumping areas and a riding hall, all of which in the closest vicinity.
In the nineties then they started with the "holiday on the farm" project. Over the last years the overall offer has been broadened.
Above the riding hall there are 4 holiday apartments, each of which for two persons, covered also in our offer to you.
There are another 7 holiday apartments on the estate. In springtime there are sometimes wedding parties in the Borgo.

Fucecchio is a town with lots of tradition; it once belonged to the province of Lucca, but the results of many wars during the medevial period made it become part of the Florentines.
Exciting the palio, not as famous as the one in Siena, but for the local people in the Fucecchio contrades certainly not less important. The "Palio delle Contrade Città di Fucecchio", normally addressed as"Palio of Fucecchio" is an event that reminds of a tournament in Fucecchio as early as around the year 1200. Originally called Palio della Lancia (the lance palio) it now takes place on the penultimate Sunday in May. It includes 3 rounds with horses with saddleless riders.Another highlight are the Padule di Fucecchio, a natural reserve of some 1800 hectare of swamps in Tuscany and thus the largest in Italy. There are bike tours or guided walking tours.
Most important sector of local industry is leather production, outlets offer all kinds of leather work.
Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo, visit of the house where he was born, and not to miss a visit of Castello dei Monti di Guidi, exposition of the machines built by Leonardo da Vinci.
San Miniato, pittoresque town with historically important tower built by Frederic II; truffle market
