Elegant is already the drive in to this little charming Tuscany country house, a real jewel in its own way.

A nice cypress tree alley, illuminated at night, leads up to the roundabout in front of the villa.

Plenty of plants flowers and creepers, a tall evergreen hedge around the entire private property.

First offered in 2004 has now reached ‚full blossom’, the garden is just a dream!

You have a very nice view on Castelvecchio and the plains with the mountains East of Lucca as background scenery. The Tuscany country house lies just some hundred meters from the main road away in a quiet surrounding, through a small but good access road one gets to the main entrance with its impressive wrought iron gate. Automatic illumination, 2 covered car lots directly behind the gate.

Through an aisled door one enters the living room with beautiful open fire place and a sitting area. From this room there is another exit on to the sunny terrace on the opposite side of the house with an old stone bench. Next to the living there is the kitchen, typical country side style, tidy and cosy, very well equipped and practical; from the kitchen a large arched window opens the view to the garden.

A unique dining table with chairs has found its place also in the airy kitchen, ideal for indoor meals. From the living room a staircase leads to the upper floor. Here you find two bright bed rooms, one with double bed, the other with twin beds, and the very nice bathroom with shower.

The entire Tuscany country house impresses with its beautiful natural stone walls or, where it has been plastered lively colours give refreshing contrasts.

The furniture is a mix of antiques from the region and new comfortable ones. Covered terraces along the entire front and one more side of the house offer every opportunity for staying outdoors. Of course, there are sitting chairs, dining area and illumination available on the terraces as well.

The pool lies at a distance of some 25 meters from the house. There are sun lounges and chairs available. A little covered pergola offers additional shade, should one need it.

country style kitchen

The entire area is completely fenced up, beautiful trees and many flowers make the garden a real oasis. An old well (covered now) brings back times long ago.
Windows and doors have their local kind of “scure” shutters that keep the sun out when it gets hot.

Just below the ancient fortified village of Castelvecchio di Compito lies this recently most nicely renovated Tuscany country house.
A grocery shop where you can get in the morning your fresh bread as well is in walking distance, less than 500m away; pharmacy, restaurant / pizzeria, bank, post office can be found in the nearby village of Castelvecchio on the main road to Lucca. The nearest supermarket with very good assortment is at S.Leonardo, less than 10 minutes by car away.

There are not just flowers, also the many herbs have been thought of for those who will try to be the daily “chef”. You will be surprised what miracles are possible if you use them well!
