Versilia Villa- Spend your holiday in an elegantly renovated fortress with view on the tuscany sea and the mountains as well

This jewel is situated in Monteggiori, close to Camaiore, 220 m above the sea which is just 10 minutes by car away with the most splendid beaches along the Italian West coast, the Lido of Camaiore, the mundane Forte dei Marmi: fine sand beaches, elegant shopping, restaurants of all categories, any form of entertainment for the young and the somewhat less young ones, one of the most renowned golf courses of Italy “Versilia” just some 15 minutes distant – all in all a real crown jewel for people who have a highly developed feeling and need for space, freedom and “benessere” in all its ways.

La Rocca consists of two independent houses/apartments, connected with one another by the garden.

Both offer high-tech equipment and are furnished in the finest Italian designer style – some carefully selected antique pieces just accentuating the overall “ambiente”.

The atmosphere of brightness and lightness has been achieved by the large glass windows and the many glass doors as well.

A small corridor leads to the storage room with washing machine and, at its end, a guest toilet.

A decorative spiral staircase leads to the upper floor with gallery and bookshelves.

From here one gets into the bedroom with double bed and its ensuite bath room with shower and tub. Another small staircase leads to a studio which will remain closed.
In this section there is also another satellite TV, hifi set and telephone at your disposal.

Dependance: From the garden both apartments have in common you get into the spacious living room with sleeping couch and kitchenette with refrigerator and dining table for up to 6 persons.
 Versilia Villa
A cosy bedroom, again with exit to terrace, and its ensuite bathroom with shower. Here too you will have satellite TV and telephone.

The area is surrounded by ancient walls and an olive grove, the apartments are amidst small gardens with flowers and fruit trees.

Another small garden grows tomatoes, salad, onions, cucumbers, green beans, zucchini, eggplant, paprika, basil and other vegetables and herbs.
There are 5 terraces, one of which – the one on top – is like a huge sun deck with charming mosaic floor and a truly breathtaking view.
The original battlements have been preserved; please notice that they are in part relatively low.

Terraces and garden are equipped with lounges and umbrellas, tables and chairs and, last but not least, barbecue.

The thick walls keep out the cold in winter and the heat in summer – beyond that up here you will always enjoy a fresh and cooling breeze.

La Rocca lies on the most Western peak towards the sea of the small medieval village Monteggiori. It is just a 3 minutes walk over the ancient stone path from the parking through romantic Monteggiori to get to the castle.
The luggage will be brought to the castle in a small motorized vehicle handled by the “helping hands” of the house and your heavy shopping as well on extra request. The village itself is car-free.

In Monteggiori also a few well known personalities from the media and cinema world have their second homes, they nicely fit in with the old local traditions.

In the immediate neighbourhood there are wonderful options for going out for a walk.

At 200 m distance there is a restaurant/pizzeria. On working days a truck with food: fresh bread, fruit and vegetables will come to the market place, just a stone’s throw from your home, where you could do your daily shopping together with the local people.

A more than beautiful tour would be along the "Golfo della Spezia" passing through Lerici, an old and pittoresque fishermen’s village, turning round the harbour of La Spezia ending up at Portovenere, a truly charming little place on the coast.

The same goes for a visit of “Cinque Terre”, the 5 idyllic villages in Southern Liguria, just a few kilometres Northwest La Spezia, which seem to be glued on to the rocks high above the sea - an unforgettable tour, best done by ferry boat or train.
La Rocca is, as wee see it, not suited for small kids and handicapped persons.
